After Care Information

NAIL TREATMENTS

The first 24-48 hours are crucial to the to ensure that lifting, cracking, chipping and staining does not occur so please follow the advice below. For lasting results, it is also advisable to continue to follow the advice after the 24-48 hours.

  • Daily exposure to chemicals such as household cleaning products, beauty products (including chlorine, sanitiser and sunscreens) and water can be damaging to nails and the product. Wear gloves when possible to limit exposure.

  • Avoid water and heat for 24 hours after your treatment such as limiting long baths, showers, spas and saunas and avoid using products on the hands containing Lanolin, self tanning products and makeup which can cause staining, damage or distort the colour.

  • Never use your nails as tools and we suggest using the pads of your fingers rather than the tips of your nails for things such a typing on a keyboard. Knocking your nails can damage or tear off gel/acrylics, which can be painful and drastically affect the health of your nails. Acrylic or gel nails should not damage the natural nail, unless they are pulled off, therefore it is vital to the health of your nails not to do anything too strenuous. Choose your length carefully depending on your lifestyle.

  • Ensure you always have gel polish and acrylic nails professionally removed. If you try to peel and pick them off yourself you will damage your natural nails.

  • Use a good quality cuticle oil ideally twice a day.

  • If any lifting does occur please do not pick at it or attempt to fix it yourself. Please contact us and we will be able to advise you further.

  • Regular maintenance of infills or professional removal is essential to keep the nail enhancements and natural nails looking immaculate.

Finally, be kind to your nails!
